We had such a fun time mingling at Suzie's shower with so many friends and family that were able to make it. Thanks so much Brittanny for all of the help planning and executing the party:)

Momma Jul's Birthday
We celebrated my mom's Birthday with the fam at her house tonight :) Grandma Derb made the famous 18 min cake, yum! It was so cute all of the kids wanted to blow out the candles so we lit them a few times. Livia set up a store full of grandma's things and sold them for real money. It was hilarious. I definitely cannot afford to even browse her store;) she thought she was rich!
Happy Birthday Mom. We love you.

Shoulder Surgery
Blake went in for surgery today on his shoulder. They repaired his slap tendon by placing two anchors and shaved down his rotator cuff. The surgery itself didn't take to long but it sure seemed like it in the waiting room. When I was able to go back to see him in recovery he was having a hard time coming out of the anesthetic. He was pretty funny he just kept repeating himself over and over about how they just had to scope it. We don't know where he got that from?:) I am glad Bart and Nan came over so I wasn't there alone it made me less nervous and I am sure Blake appreciated the support.
The drive home was quiet. He slept.
When we got home we got the ice machine, we were able to borrow from my grandma, going first thing. He wasn't in pain just groggy, he slept it off.
I was so surprised by how active he was in the first few days after surgery. He couldn't stand sitting in the house for long, so there he was weeding and mowing the lawn. Pretty much normal but one armed. The only thing bothering him was his breathing, ever since surgery whenever he would do something he would be short of breath, but we blamed it on his asthma acting up.
After the fourth day of that, Friday, he decided to call the doctor because even climbing the few stairs into the house he would be out of breath. The doctor told him he could have blood clots and to get to an ER. I was at work when he called to tell me to come get him. I was so scared, I wanted to cry but knew that wouldn't help the situation to get all emotional, I tried to stay calm. After arriving at the Hospital and getting him in, I called all the family. They soon had him hooked up to everything it seem like, they were checking his vitals, doing an EKG, an IV, an X-ray of his chest which led to a CAT Scan it wasn't good news he definitely had multiple blood clots in his lungs.
They started him on Lovenox and Coumiden immediately and while we were waiting for the Doctor to come admit him to the hospital so we could get him a room and out of the ER I went home to grab somethings for him and me while his parents stayed with him. It was a long night. We only had one scare the nurse gave him some anxiety medicine to calm him down so he could breathe a little easier. It seemed to help so he could sleep. The next day I left to help and watch the kids in the Parade for the 24th of July celebration in Bear River City but was back to the hospital to sit with my babe in no time. He was much the same as the night before but had many visitors to keep us both company. We played crosswords, phase 10, watched tv, ate treats & had plenty of time to talk.
He was so funny about the hospital food.
He stayed a second night unwillingly. They couldn't release him until his breathing got better. We were hoping for better results. There was no hot water in the hospital they told us they were working on getting it fixed but no such luck. He had to do the no rinse sponge bath for two days. bummer. The next day his breathing had improved so he was able to come home. Yay!
Shalee, his sister, was too kind to give him his shots for a few days and he will have to be on the Coumiden for at least 6 months to thin his blood. He had to go back in weekly for lab work to check his levels. That was the plan.
He made it one day.
Tuesday we were on our way to a Peaches game he was going to coach. We got to about Petersboro and he started having severe pain in his back. He couldn't breathe or move. I was scared too death and so was he. I drove like a maniac! We made it to the Logan ER and I dropped him off at the door to run in while I parked. When I got in there the nurses were getting him back into a room. Yet again they had him hooked up in no time. When the lady came in to do the EKG he couldn't lay back to get it. He was in so much pain. They gave him some medicine to help the pain and she said she would come back and try again. The doctors couldn't figure why he was in such pain, the blood clots don't normally cause pain to this extent and for so long. After getting quite a bit more pain medicine they got it to where they could manage it. They took another x-ray to see if he was developing more clots, which came back he still had some that were trying to dissolve but wasn't getting more. They did say though that because of the clotting it caused the lung to die where the clot had cut off the blood and oxygen to the lung, that is what they said could be causing the pain. He didn't want to stay the night so they gave him a prescription and sent us on our way.

He made it another 2 days.
Thursday we were getting some things ready for my sister, Suzie's, wedding Saturday at my grandparents home. Blake came down to help out as much as he could. We were there all evening. We left there at dark and had driven separately, he seemed fine when we left. Suz met him over at the dumpster on the way home to get rid of the garbage, she said he scared the crap right out of her when she saw him, he was in so much pain he could barely move. I don't know why he even stopped there and didn't come straight home. I am so glad she stopped to help him. She followed him the rest of the way home and brought him inside. We tried to get him comfortable but nothing was helping. He was practically in tears. We hopped in the car and yet again headed to the ER. Thankfully Suzie was there to stay with the kids.
We got to the hospital and they were shocked at how much pain he was in just as the Logan hospital staff had been. Because of the blood thinning medicine he was on when the lady took his blood it sprayed all over. I was wigging out. They took him in for another CAT Scan to check his abdomen now. That all looked good. After getting his pain somewhat under control they admitted him into a room for the rest of the night so they could regulate the pain. I didn't stay the night at the hospital but came back first thing the next morning. He said he didn't sleep well but that his dad and grandpa had already been by that morning and had given him a blessing. He was still in some pain but was able to get some rest. They let him go home Friday evening and we were to see a pulmonoligist as soon as we could get in.
That was a nightmare. Who knew how booked out a lung specialist would be?! We had to wait 2 weeks to be seen. When we did see Dr. Abdula he didn't really have any answers we hadn't already gotten. In his opinion the pain was caused from a pinched nerve in his back.
Wow this ended up being a really long post. I wish I would have written this sooner or jotted down details while it was happening. There is so much you forget.
All I know is I am so greatful to have my husband still with me. Thanks so much to all of the friends and family who called, came to visit and most of all helped out when we most definitely needed it. I can't imagine life without all of you. I hope to show you all as much concern and support as you have shown us. We love you.

Brigham City Fireworks
We went to the Brigham City Fireworks and Bec's family met us there on their way back to Vegas.
The kids had a blast with Jerz and each other.
I don't think I have ever been under all of the ash when I've gone in the past....it was awful, Blake even got hit in the head with a big piece of a firework! We must have picked the wrong place to sit and the wind was right in our direction.:( We will have to be more careful where we sit next time!

4th of July Weekend
The family headed up to the cabin for a fun filled weekend over the 4th of July.
Blake had to work and couldn't make it, so that was a bummer, and I was sick the whole first day with the flu. So it certainly wasn't all a joy. But after I recouped it was a ball to be with the family and enjoy the summer weather!
Mom came across this paddle boat and brought it up for the pond. It is a new favorite.
Happy 4th!
Becca & Suz thought they were sooo funny and made Nash look like Pauli D.. Very funny girls:) as you can tell Nash loved the attention from his Aunties!
Liv Nash Ri & I headed over to the South side of Bear Lake for the rest of the day to hang out with the Bowcutt's. We enjoyed swimming, the play ground & dinner. Thanks family!
So happy we have this beautiful place to visit and make fun memories with the family!
